Slow Down...

..by the Academy Is.. brings back 2005 memories. I love this song.
This song also reminds me of when I first visited Mark's myspace in February 2006.
I was like, "Oh, I guess he's cool afterall."

Anyways, I'm at work. Being receptionist is fun. I don't do crap but greet super excited dogs, and fill in all their info, and that's pretty much it. :D Technically my "break" is the whole time I'm at the desk doing nothing because I can't just leave if I wanted food. I was contemplating on some Quiznos delivery, but their website's pissing me off, getting me all confused. Then I thought, hmm Thai food delivery..but their freakin' menu on their website isn't working. So I called Jean (to the rescue!) and she's bringing me my favorite Carl's meal by 10:30am. YES! And NO, I didn't just bug her to bring me food. She wants to borrow my camera this weekend, and I happen to have it with me here at work. So it works both ways.

I'm off for the next two days, but unfortunately I'm stuck driving to Palmdale. I wish I had an excuse to just drop Margaux off and leave (even though I wanna spend time with the doggies), but my great-aunt/lola (whatever it is), is visiting from the Philippines, and my dad asked me to drive her around to the mall or whatever. WHAT THE HELL IS THERE TO SHOW AROUND IN PALMDALE? Please, someone fill me in, 'cuz from what I know there's NOTHING. I would rather chill in the valley and blaze my ass off. That's way chiller. And knowing a typical filipino, she's gonna asking me a bunch from the following:

"Where are you studying now?"
"WHAT are you studying?"
"How come you don't want to study nursing?"
"Is your boyfriend filipino?"
"How come you gained weight?"
"Have you talked to your mom?"
"How come you don't want to stay here with your Daddy?"

UGH. I already know it. I see it coming.

ANYWAYS...

If you haven't seen the Namesake, you should definitely watch it. My sister made
me watch it a short while picture of namesakeback, but I ended up really really liking it and I bought the DVD the other day. It's about this guy from India who decided to study abroad in New York, and after 2 years he goes back to India to meet his soon-to-be wife (arranged marriage). They both get married and end up moving back to New York. Their first son (Kal Penn--Yes, KUMAR! He's also a stoner in this movie too, how ironic) was named "Gogol", you know, after the writer. And basically the whole movie depicts their life coming to America, bringing their son/daughter into the world, and their experiences. GOOD stuff. I cried at the end. Touching.

And I love Juno! That movie is so weird in so many ways, but I bought that DVD too and watched it again. I bought like 10 DVDs in the past week. Movie nights! (:

I'm planning to take pictures of some of the dogs here at work. They're so cute. I can't wait 'til I get some damn batteries for Mark's camera since Jean's gonna have mine for a little bit.

And before I stop, I just wanted to briefly write about how I think that some people are so goddamn spoiled that they take advantage of it by acting like complete airheads. What do you have to complain about when you have everything? So shut up. You're a joke.

Peace!

Hello, my name is Calee. I may have the same interests as many others, but I'm really different. I don't judge by looks or status. I get along with everybody, but I prefer to just associate with those who are open-minded and can really understand who I am and where I came from. I have a good life living with my boyfriend Mark. He's the best boyfriend ever; he's intelligent, focused, and he takes the best care of me. One thing that everyone knows about me is that I LOVE DOGS. I don't party much or get drunk whatsoever, but that doesn't stop me from having fun. I love food (who doesn't?), and I love sight-seeing, shopping, watching movies, singing, going to amusement parks, or watching shows. These blogs should give you a hint of what life's like: BUSY! Work, school, dogs, Mark, and all that good junk.
